OSMT joins Nashville in celebrating Spring. Be sure to visit our display March 2nd – March 4th 10 am to 8 pm and March 5th from 10 am to 5 pm Location: Nashville Fairgrounds 500 Wedgewood Ave Nashville 37203
What’s going on? Nashville Lawn & Garden show is an annual event featuring live gardens, free lectures, demonstrations, and more.
Why does this matter to us? OSMT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization: We are compensated for our display, which helps sustain our organization. We get to meet new people who are interested in orchids and would like to attend our functions
How you can help the Orchid Society — We need volunteers for the following:
- Setting up and taking down our display on Wednesday March 1st at 6pm and Sunday March 5th once the show ends at 4pm.
- Plants! Orchids (blooming preferred but not required) and green foliage plants such as ferns for the background. Please bring plants to the Fairgrounds on March 1st starting at 6pm (don’t forget to write your name somewhere on the bottom of the container!)
- For people interested in our display, we would like to talk to them and emphasize that we are an educational, nonprofit organization, and that our monthly meetings are open to everyone.
You don’t need to be an expert on orchids to do any of the above! We are very fortunate to rely on the experience of everyone who has helped in the previous year.
Our display will be Garden #12 (as you walk in the main entrance, walk left down the main hallway. As you turn the corner, we are the final display on the right side)
