Show Hours: Thursday – Saturday 10 am – 7 pm and Sunday 10 am – 5 pm
What’s going on? Nashville Lawn & Garden show is an annual event featuring live gardens, free lectures, demonstrations, and more. There are incredible gardens and displays to see and hundreds of vendors and groups selling unusual plants (including orchids) and lawn and garden supplies.
Why does this matter to us? OSMT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization: We are compensated for our display, which helps sustain our organization. We get to meet new people who are interested in orchids and would like to attend our functions
How you can help the Orchid Society — We need volunteers to staff the Lawn & Garden Show February 28 – March 3, 2019:
We’ll be installing our “usual” gorgeous display of orchids beginning Tuesday night for the “rough stuff” and installing plants in the display on Wednesday. This is a fun show folks, even if you can’t participate, please come by and see our display, talk with other OSMT members, and prowl the garden show.
- OSMT needs individuals to staff our booth on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. More details to be announced.
- Volunteers are needed for set up and take down of the display as well. Please call Byron Dumas, OSMT President for more info at 931-436–5518.
- Plants! Orchids (blooming preferred but not required) and green foliage plants such as ferns for the background. (don’t forget to write your name somewhere on the bottom of the container!)
- Staff our booth for people interested in our display, we would like to talk to them and emphasize that we are an educational, nonprofit organization, and that our monthly meetings are open to everyone.
Please don’t worry if you’re new to orchids like myself. If you’re a member of the OSMT, then you have already sufficient knowledge to answer questions from visitors to the show. We have a flyer to hand out and contact sheet for those interested in the OSMT or individuals with questions. This is a fun event!
