April 2021 Meeting

OSMT meeting is online!

7 pm CST: FAQs and Your Favorite Unconventional Growing Tips
Location: Zoom Online Meeting

Happy April everyone! Unfortunately our efforts to get a speaker have fallen through this month. We will be hosting a FAQ (frequently asked questions) and your favorites orchid tips meeting on Tuesday, April 20th at 7pm CST.

We are working with Cheekwood to determine how best to safely restart having meetings in person. We’d appreciate your feedback – are you interested in meeting in person or do you enjoy the comfort of orchid meetings from your home?

As always, we would really appreciate ideas on how to re-energize the society – what topics are you tired of, what do you want to hear or see about? I personally really enjoyed the suggestion from last month’s meeting to grow Masdevillias in upcycled wine fridges! Recently I experimented with info from a YouTube video to reenergize one of my orchid – I have a dried out Phal sitting in nothing but water for almost 2 months and it looks so happy! I’ll send before and after pictures as soon as I can find them.
