OSMT Meeting at Cheekwood

7 pm: Soraya Parr Presents “Nasvhille’s Native Orchids”

Soraya Cates Parr, was the orchid horticulturist in the late 1980’s at Cheekwood. She also is past appointed member of the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health for the State of Tennessee, published scientific author, degreed scientist, professional fitness instructor and professional teaching/performing musician. Soraya has published many articles for AOS including Liparis lillifolia – A Lily of an Orchid, which is featured in the Feb 2020 AOS publication. She will lead us on a PowerPoint photo journey of orchids native to Nashville.

If you’ve never heard her present before, Soraya’a enthusiastic personality will bubble through quickly making this a fun and lively presentation!

Note: We will have an alternative location and time for our March meeting 6:30 – 7:45 pm Bellevue Branch Library on Baugh Road.
