Grows in USDA zones 2 – 6. It thrives in cold to cool climates and generally does not perform well in the heat south of Zone 6. Will grow in Zone 7 and 8 in the West Coast if planted in afternoon shade in a in wetland or streambank locations.

Genus: Cercis. The Eastern Redbud is a spring shower. Up here in New York State we know spring has finally arrived when the Redbuds start to bloom. They flower before they push their heart-shaped leaves.

Osage Orange Tree (Maclura pomifera) – Hedge Apple – Live Plant – Multiple Sizes

Species: M. pomifera. Genus: Maclura. Osage Orange. Outdoor: Wind break, hedge, shade tree. This tree is native to a small region of Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas and is now widely naturalized in the United States and Ontario, Canada.
