Solomon’s Spike prefers moist woodland conditions, but sun & average moisture to dryness are fine. The flower spikes measure up to 3-5" long, & the leaves up to 6" long. By late summer, the flowers turn to clusters of round pinkish-red berries. During the berries maturation, they turn a lot of lovely colors with speckles & spots, with berries that end red in winter. Birds & other small critters will enjoy the berries! The fall leaves are also lovely, gaining stripes as they change colors.
