7PM CST: “Ghost Orchid – Part 2” – John Cranshaw

During our March meeting (on Tuesday, July 16th) we will be hearing from John Cranshaw, an OSMT member, about his journey in successfully growing and blooming several ‘Ghost Orchid’ species; including the one found in the Florida everglades by the name of Dendrophylax lindenii. Dendrophylax lindenii is currently being sought after by some environmental groups to be classified as endangered with roughly 1,500 plants remaining in Florida due to poachers and habitat loss. . This will be a continuation of his presentation that was started in March, but this time he will be demonstrating his Growing Culture for the Ghost Orchid giving everyone tips and tricks if this is something you’d like to try out for yourself.
