July 8, 2026

50 GARLIC SEEDSAllium sativumAllium sativum, commonly known as garlic, is a bulbous herb with long, flat leaves and round flower heads composed of small white to pinkish flowers. It’s renowned for its culinary and medicinal uses, celebrated for its distinct flavor and health benefits. Garlic grows well in a variety of soil types, preferring well-drained, fertile soil. It can reach a mature height of around 2 to 3 feet (60-90 cm) and thrives in USDA hardiness zones 3-9. It’s usually grown as an annual, with bulbs forming underground and ready for harvest in late summer. IMPORTANT: listing is for garlic seeds, not bulbs or live garlic plants! Germinating Allium sativum seeds To germinate Allium sativum (garlic) seeds, sow them in well-draining soil about 1/4 inch deep. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Place in a sunny or partially shaded location with temperatures around 60-70°F (15-21°C). Germination typically takes 10-14 days. Thin seedlings as they grow. Detailed germination instructions will be included with your order!Harvesting and PlantingAfter your first season of growing garlic, you’ll be left with a large amount of bulbs that can be used for propagation. To grow garlic from bulb, separate the cloves from a bulb and plant them 2 inches deep in well-drained soil during the fall. Provide consistent moisture and mulch the area. Cold temperatures are needed for proper bulb development, and shoots will emerge in spring, growing into mature bulbs by summer.Shipping detailsAll orders come with free shipping and tracking.
