Sabal Minor Mccurtain 1/2 Gallon!!!

July 9, 2026

These are the most cold hardy palm in the world period. In their native habitat they regularly see below zero temperatures, this is the only palm in the world that can make this claim. I started way too many seeds this year, so all of you are in luck, otherwise I wouldn’t sell them until they’re in 1 gallon pots. My mccurtain planted at my house which is where the seed for these seedlings came from has never been damaged. We normally get ice and snow storms, with single digits and the past 2 winters below zero and an entire week below freezing. This was the only palm that didn’t even have tip burn. The third picture with the seed stalk is the McCurtain at my house where these seedlings came from. Shops in grow bag. Nowhere else to get these. Selling at a great price!!!

The banana tree can go through cold winters and withstand winter temperatures down to -20°F with proper mulching techniques. The Basjoo banana tree will grow 10 to 15 feet tall in maturity and does best in full sun to partial sunlight. It is adaptable to a variety of soils as long as you mulch it for winter care. Best growth will happen in medium, well-drained soils and warm airy temperatures. It can grow up to 1-2 feet during the spring growing season.Strong winds and freezing temperatures in the colder climates may cause the stalks and green leaves to die back to the ground level. Banana Tree Care winter includes pruning the banana plants down to the ground or 1 foot above and heavily mulching with organic material. If you live in an area with mild winters, your leaves may wilt and droop after a cold winter night. With these hardy banana plants, you can cut the leaves off in late winter or early spring to encourage new growth. With a large layer of mulch, the roots will stay safe under the warmth of the soil.
