Very limited amount! If you want real big traps, this is the best option.)Assorted named cultivar crosses (Most interesting seeds to offer this year! If you want great diversity in traps’ shape and color, this is best option.)G16 x G16/G17/DCXLG17 x G16/G17/DCXL Mother plants are typicals, fathers are named cultivars. I hand-pollinated most of them(Bees helped a bit too, I grow out door). Growing VFTs from seeds is a very challenging task, it is not easy but full of surprise and fun. Here are some key points to help you get started. 1) Freshness is the key, aged seeds’ germination rate drops rapidly 2) Pure water only, distilled water, RO filtered water or rain water. (PPM needs to be below 50, if you have a PPM meter) 3) Nutrition free medium only. Prefer to use New Zealand Sphagnum Moss or Peat moss based mix for other carnivorous plants 4) High humidity and some air flow. (For example covering the pots with clear plastic food wraps and punch a bunch of holes on them) 5) A lot of light. For seedlings, it is better to use grow light rather than sunlight in order to reduce the heat. With the food wraps under sun, they can be cooked quickly, do the best to avoid the high heat 6) Warm, but not too hot. 80~100F is a good range. Going over 100F is dangerous, blow 80F won’t kill them, but will slow down the germination. 7) Germination takes 2~8 weeks in average, depends on your growing conditions. 8) Slowly take off the wraps after 3~4 traps open up. 9) Slowly introduce to full sun after taking off the wraps 10) A lot of patience, they grow slow 11) VFTs from seeds are typicals, no matter they look stunning or boring. The fun of growing from seeds is, you don’t know how exactly they will look like. And you might get some special ones that you want to name them to become new cultivars. 20 seeds in the package and free shipping by USPS First-Class Mail letter (with no tracking). Happy Growing!

It is native to northern China and along the Pacific coast of Siberia including the Kamchatka Peninsula. Thick, triangular, succulent, scalloped, spatulate to obovate, semi-evergreen, dark green leaves (3/4” to 1 1/2” long) are deciduous at the stem bases but tend to be evergreen at the tips. Tiny, star-shaped, yellow flowers (to 1/2”) bloom in flat cymes (each having 6-10 flowers) in June-August. Flowers give way to small fruits which turn russet red in fall. Most of the foliage disappears in cold winter months. Genus name comes from the Latin word sedeo meaning to sit in reference to the general growing habit of many of the sedums (they sit and sprawl over rocks). Specific epithet is in reference to the Kamchatka Peninsula which juts out into the Pacific Ocean from the far eastern Coast of Siberia. ‘Weihenstephaner Gold’ is a cultivar that features starry pale yellow flowers which acquire pink tones with age, blooming in summer on plants clad with and silvery gray-green foliage.
