Common Mint (Mentha Spp.) – 100 Seeds •Heirloom •Non-GMO •American grown seeds •Perennial •USDA Zones: 4-9 Description: Mint is native to the Mediterranean, but spread into Britain and eventually to America. The Pilgrims brought mint with them on their first journey overseas. While there are a lot of mints: Spearmint, Peppermint, Vietnamese Mint (which isn’t a true mint), Basil Mint, Chocolate Mint and so on… the mint I like best, the one I use most is usually sold under the imaginative name: ‘Mint’ or very occasionally ‘Common Mint’ or ‘Culinary Mint’. Bursting with fragrance and flavor, mint is a versatile herb, adding sprightly, fresh coolness to sweet and savory dishes. Medicinal Uses: Mint has been long known as an herbal remedy, easing queasy stomachs, calming stress and anxiety, and promoting restful sleep. Growing Instructions: Transplant (recommended): Start 6-8 weeks before setting out in early spring; young plants can withstand some freezing. Sow seeds on top of the growing medium, gently pressing them into the soil mix. Do not cover, as the seeds require light to germinate. Keep moist and germinate at a temperature of 55-65°F. Transplant seedlings into individual containers when the first true leaves appear in full sun to partial shade. Pinch off the top sets of leaves regularly starting at the seedling stage for a bushier, healthier plant. When 3-4″ tall, transplant outside, spacing plants 12-18″ apart in rows 18″ apart. Since mint spreads quickly, choose location carefully, possibly with a growth barrier. Water deeply once in a while, rather than watering the plants lightly more often. To prevent the spread of leaf diseases, water the soil and not the foliage. Cut back the plants to the ground before winter. This will make for healthier, more prolific plants the following year. •FREE SHIPPING on all orders of $35 or more. •Flat Rate shipping no matter how many seeds you order. •Growing instructions included on each seed packet. *All information is provided for educational purposes only.

They can flower in part shade, especially in warmer climates with afternoon shade, but they may be more susceptible to disease and have fewer flowers.Soil: Zinnias grow best on fertile, well-drained soils high in organic matter. Well-drained soil is important because zinnia seedlings can be prone to rotting in cool, wet soils. Spacing: Plant zinnia seeds a few inches apart in rows or clumps. Thin to 8 to 18 inches apart, depending upon the variety, once the plant has grown four leaves.Planting: Plant zinnias in spring after all danger of frost has passed, around the same time you’d plant tomatoes. Zinnias are easy to grow directly-seeded into the garden. For sooner blooms, start seeds indoors 4 to 6 weeks before your last frost date. How to Grow Zinnias Throughout the SeasonGrowth Habit: Zinnias come in a wide variety of plant sizes. Some are low-growing. 1-foot tall plants with a mounding habit. Others are 3-foot tall plants with big flowers. Plant the right variety for your usage and that your space allows. Mounding varieties have smaller flowers and produce more ornamental looking plants. Taller varieties are often used for cutting and are best grown in rows or clumps for a better visual effect.Staking: These flowers have sturdy stems, so do not need staking.Watering: Zinnias need moist soil to grow their best. This is especially true of young plants. Water deeply a few times a week so the soil stays moist 6 to 8 inches deep. Don’t overwater because zinnias can also succumb to rot diseases especially on wet, clay soils. Once established, zinnias a relatively drought tolerant.Fertilizing: Amend the soil before planting zinnias with compost. When flowers start to form, side dress with an organic 5-5-5 fertilizer to get more and bigger blossoms.Mulching: Mulch zinnias once they are established with a 2 inch layer of straw or bark mulch. This will help preserve soil moisture and prevent weed growth.Trimming & Pruning: Deadhead (trim) spent flowers regularly to promote more flowering and to keep the plant tidy. To create bushier plants on tall varieties, pinch the growth tip of the plant when young. This will stimulate more side branching, a shorter plant, and more flowers. However, it may delay flowering, especially in cool summer areas.WE SHIP FAST & FREE! Your orders ship the next business date after payment via US mail. NO TRACKING. Eucalyptus rodwayii Seeds – ‘Swamp Peppermint’ – Rare Australian Tree Seeds
Eucalyptus rodwayi Seeds Known as the Swamp Peppermint, this stately Tasmanian Tree grows to over 60′, and can form a broad crown, that retains its lower branches. The bark begins smooth and white on the new branches, later becoming rough and fibrous on the trunk and older branches. The juvenile leaves are opposite and gray-green, and the the adult foliage is dull gray-green, in the classic, lance-shaped Euc form, and the characteristic peppermint odor when crushed. The flowers are cream-white, in clusters of 7-11. Requires full sun in well-drained to swampy soil – even hard, wet clay. Eucalyptus rodwayi forms a lignotuber, and will resprout after being cut down or after a fire. Hardy to USDA Zone 7. One packet contains 1/8 teaspoon of seeds with chaff, as well as detailed sowing instructions. The seeds of this species are rather fine, and (with my old eyes) I no longer want to have to clean the seeds (remove all the seeds from among the chaff – which is very time consuming). There will be many seeds this way, and in 1/8 teaspoon, there should, at the least, be a couple dozen seeds among the chaff. You’ll actually get more seeds this way than if I had to clean them! The chaff is inert, and is absolutely fine added to the soil at planting time. With proper storage, Eucalyptus seeds may remain viable for a long time – I’ve had them sprout after 15 years of storage! Please note: The seeds being offered were harvested in my own garden, and are fresh and viable – success in their germination is up to you – and will be achieved by carefully following the instructions included with your seeds. Sowing seeds requires cleanliness, practice and patience, and frequently have specific requirements and pretreatments. There is a learning curve. I say this because people generally blame the seeds or the seller for a failure in germination, when, in actuality, it is generally because of the one doing the sowing… With that said, I wish you the best of luck with the seeds, and if you have any questions with getting them started, please feel free to contact me. There are many fakes selling seeds on ebay – by purchasing seeds from me, you are guaranteed to be getting the real deal! I’ve been growing and collecting rare and exotic plants for over 45 years and sowing seeds has been a specialty. Most of the trees and shrubs that are growing in my 4 acre garden have been started from seeds; there is something very satisfying about that. All photos are of plants in my own collection – unless stated otherwise. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING – SORRY – I ONLY SHIP TO THE US. I do combine shipping for multiple items – please request a new shipping total before checking out. Thank you! Upon arrival of the seeds/cutting/plant, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I want you to be happy with your purchase and to have the greatest success in its cultivation! Thank you for checking out my ebay offerings. Robert
