Ratibida pinnata is a herbaceous perennial in the Asteraceae family. It is commonly known as Grayhead Coneflower. It is native to the central and eastern United States and also North in Ontario, Canada. It grows up to 5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It flowers from June to September attracting butterflies and bees. The flowers have drooping petals giving this one a unique look. It grows in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Zones 3-8 Germination Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds on top of the medium and lightly cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover and keep temperatures around 65-70F. Germination is in 21-30 days.
