Our herb liners vary in size between different plant families. These rooted starter plants will arrive ready to be transplanted in to your final container. If they are to be used in a landscape application, you will need to establish them in a 3-4 inch pot before planting outside. ThymeThyme French, also known as Thymus vulgaris or Summer Thyme, is a perennial herb native to southern Europe and northern Africa. This variety offers a bushy, spreading habit of 6-12″ tall and 18-30″ wide, with lavender flowers in spring. Its narrow, aromatic foliage is more grey and sweet than English Thyme. This herb resists deer, attracts pollinators, and is essential to French cuisine. Flourishing in full sun with regular water, Thyme’s fresh, earthy flavor comes through, whether freshly cut or dried, nicely enhancing meat, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and soups. Enjoy this low-maintenance plant in a patio container, herb garden, or landscape border.Hardy to zone 4-9. OreganoOregano Kent Beauty commonly known as Oregano Golden is widely used for its aroma, flavor, and visual appeal in both culinary and ornamental applications. Grow it as a container product or in 4 inch pots for landscape use. Hardy to zone 4-9 SageSage or Salvia Officinalis Sage is widely used for its aroma, flavor, and visual appeal in both culinary and ornamental applications. Grow it as a container product or in 4 inch pots for landscape use. Lemon BalmHerb Lemon Balm (also known as Melissa Officinalis) is native to southern Europe and has been naturalized to much of North America. This popular perennial herb is a member of the mint family. This herb grows 10-24 inches tall and offers numerous benefits for your customer. Lemon Balm flourishes in average, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. It attracts honeybees and its leaves have a strong, fresh fragrance. While it is typically planted in herb gardens or along borders, it can also be used as ground cover. Use this herb in cooking and to make tea; it is often recommended for use in flavoring ice cream, making Lemon Balm Pesto, adding to salads, and garnishing soup, chicken, pork, and egg dishes. Lemon Balm also has homeopathic healing applications as a soothing tea for anxiety and depression and for its anti-viral and antihistamine properties. Its white, pale yellow, or pink flowers bloom June-August. If you are planting 4″ pots, 1 plant per pot should be sufficient. We recommend at least 3 starters per pot for 10″ and larger. Use a well-drained soil in your baskets and plant your starter plants deep, allowing the ellepot to be completely covered by the soil. Plant it directly in the middle of your pot.
