All cactus are succulents but not all succulents are cactus, true or false? Most cactus collectors say that but is false, is mostly 99% true but this genera is a breaking rule, pereskias don’t have succulents leaf and love water, another braking rule of succulents is they don’t need time to seal before planting, the cutting must be planting inmediatly on a wet soil, they are real cactus for the way of the spine came like all cactus and it’s flowering system, next time you ear this you can say False! Scientific Name: Pereskia aculeata. Synonym: Pereskia acardia, Pereskia undulata, Pereskia rubescens, Pereskia longispina, Pereskia aculeata var. rubescens, Pereskia aculeata var. godseffiana, Pereskia pereskia, Cactus pereskia, Pereskia godseffiana Family: Cactaceae A common variety of Pereskia aculeata is sold as Pereskia godseffiana, the valid name seems to be Pereskia aculeata var. rubescens. It is a pretty form that has leaves variegated with red. The fruits are edible, and in some places, the leaves are used as vegetables.
