Ocimum Sanctum 250+ Seeds, Tulsi Holy Basil Culinary Therapeutic Herb

July 8, 2026

Ocimum sanctumAlso known as: Holy Basil, TulsiKnown as the Queen of Herbs and is grown for its ornamental, culinary and therapeutic uses. Holy Basil is an erect, many branched subshrub in tropical climates, often grown as annual elsewhere. It grows up to 24″ tall and wide. It boasts green or purple, smooth elliptic leaves and spikes of small, white or mauve flowers arranged in close whorls on dark stems. Native to India, it has been adopted into spiritual rituals and lifestyle practices. Considered a sacred plant by the Hindus, it is often planted around Hindu shrines.Tulsi leaves are rich in vitamins A, C, and K and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, and potassium. It also has a rich amount of protein, fiber, essential oils, and antibacterial properties. Its daily consumption would prevent disease, promote general health, well-being and longevity and assist in dealing with the stresses of daily life. It can help reduce inflammation in the body, lower blood pressure, fight free radicals, and reduce high blood sugar levels. A soothing tea is made from the leaves, fresh or dry. Often added to stir-fry dishes and spicy soups because of its peppery taste.Although it naturally repels mosquitos and flies, it does attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects to the garden. Harvest mature leaves for fresh use anytime. Pinch out flowerheads as they appear to ensure continued leaf growth. Performs best in light, well-drained, fertile soil in a sheltered position in full sun. Water freely in the summer. Extremely frost sensitive. This offer is for approximately 250+ seeds. For complete transparency we include payment processing & Ebay fees in our shipping/handling cost.*DISCLAIMER*NO RETURNS/REFUNDS/REPLACEMENTS ON SEEDSMost specialty seeds we offer are NOT fast to germinate. Many take several weeks, months, and some even up towards a year depending on dormancy, region, season etc. It is important that the buyer understands that seeds are perishable products and seed germination can be adversely affected by such factors as mold/fungus, bugs, temperature, moisture content, light intensity, dormancy, care, contamination of planting media among many other reasons. These factors are totally out of The Plant Attraction’s control and are the buyer’s responsibility and risk. Germination recommendations are sent with each order and the buyer is free to research and use their own methods. Floating seeds do not always indicate that the seed is not viable. Many times it is a misconception because the seed does not have the density to sink in water. Accordingly, The Plant Attraction does not guarantee seeds to perform properly regardless of conditions or buyer’s methods or mistakes. Since 2006 we have been doing our best to hand sort and provide the freshest, cleanest harvest that is free of defects and bugs.
