FISHTAIL PALM TREE SEEDS (Wallichia disticha) Distichous RARE Exotic Tropical

July 9, 2026

FISHTAIL PALM TREE SEEDS (Wallichia disticha)Because of it’s Unusual Leaf Arrangement, where the Leaves Grow in Two Opposite Columns, on Opposite Sides of the Trunk, this is One of the Most Intriguing & Sought After Palms in the World. The Fronds are Narrow with Fishtail Shaped Ends, Giving the Leaf a Feathery Appearance. Fishtail Palms are Medium in Size, Growing to around 15-20, and Grow Extremely Fast once they’re Established. It Can Thrive in Zones 9b-11.It is an easy to grow species that will perform best in a reliably moist sandy soil in full sun although it will tolerate half-shade in hotter climates. That being said it has proven to tolerate clay and loam soils which can also be slightly alkaline or acidic. Water during extended periods of drought, and improve drainage where necessary to prevent the roots becoming waterlogged over the winter as this cause the premature death of the plant.Zones 9b-11Fishtail Palm Germination:1) Scarify the seeds with a nail file to slightly break through the surface of the shell, but never too deep. Just enough to make it easier for moisture to soak into them. 2) Use a thermos to soak them in warm water for 24 hours.3) Plant seeds appx. 1/4″ deep in well mixed and draining seed starting mix. 4) Use a heated propagator to keep the soil temperature between 80-85 degrees F., and keep them under filtered light.5) As with most tropical seeds, germination is erratic so don’t toss any that don’t sprout as early as some. Expect germination to start for a few after 1 month, but most can take all the way up to 3 months.

Garlic Chive Seeds for Sprouting Microgreens, “COOL BEANS n SPROUTS” Brand.

July 9, 2026

“COOL BEANS N SPROUTS” Brand. All about your Brown Speckled Pea Microgreen! To reap the health benefits of microgreens, eat them immediately after harvest. Microgreens, like most other superfoods that are consumed fresh, begin to lose their nutritional value rapidly after harvest. Consider growing your own microgreens at home as this will allow you to decide exactly when you harvest your crop. Microgreens are young vegetable greens that are approximately 1–3 inches (2.5–7.5 cm) tall. They have an aromatic flavor and concentrated nutrient content and come in a variety of colors and textures. Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green. Garlic chives are graceful herbs with pretty white flowers. The combination of a chive-like appearance and strong garlic flavor makes garlic chives a popular seasoning. Chopped fresh garlic chives are found in recipes for Chinese dishes including stir-fries, and they are used in Japanese cuisine as well. With their white flowers, long green shoots, and lack of a bulb, garlic chives (Allium tuberosum) bear a strong resemblance to regular chives. That’s not surprising since both are members of the onion family. However, while the standard chive has a mild flavor similar to onions Chinese garlic chives are known for their strong “garlicky” flavor. Garlic chives like full sun, but they grow fine in partially shaded areas. Plants require fertile soil with a pH of between 6.2 and 7.0. Garlic chives are perennial in zones 3 to 10. They return every year and produce new green growth for you to snip and enjoy. You can direct-sow chives, but starting them indoors in the early spring gives you a head start on the growing season. Start growing garlic chive seeds about 6 to 8 weeks before your average last frost date. Many herbs, including garlic chives, need a good head start to the growing season because they take a long time to germinate. Turns out microgreens are not just a plain good-for-you food or a healthy garnish on salads and soups. Scientific research now proves that these tiny seedlings harvested and eaten when they are just a few inches tall are a real superfood packed with antioxidants and other health-promoting nutrients.
