Leaves are medium green, elliptic to obovate with serrate margins. Pink, 1.25 inch, trumpet shaped flowers bloom profusely in spring and early summer. The flower show is long lasting (2 weeks). Weigela is a very attractive plant when in full bloom. Flowers will adorn the ends of the long stems with the branches on mature shrubs arching toward the ground. Weigela plants have very attractive foliage which allows this plant to be used as a focal point in the landscape. This plant can be used as an accent, border, hedge and for massing.
