With broad, flattened white stems and thick, tender leaves, this chard offers excellent quality and delicious taste. Leaves and stems may be braised or steamed together, or the stems may be prepared separately like asparagus. The leaves are smooth and easy to wash. Huge leaves, up to 7″ wide grow on thick white midribs. High in vitamins, chard is delicious steamed, sautéed, creamed, and stir-fried. Zones 3-10 TESTED FOR GERMINATION.
