Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) Seeds, organic

SORRY CANNOT SEND TO DE. Please do not order if your state is on this list. Brahmi seeds, bacopa monnieri. Zone 8-12. Brahmi likes moist soil and sun, some shade. Can be grown in containers and brought inside for cold zone winters. Sprinkle all the seed onto the top of moist soil in your small pot. Press seed lightly onto the soil (do not cover seed with soil) and keep damp and in light until germination which is around 14-21 days. (The last two photos show the very tiny sprouts at 15 days when I tested the seeds using this method.) The seeds are very small, just a spec, so the seedlings will be very small. It is beneficial to cover your small pot with clear plastic wrap to keep the moisture in and keep pot in light for germination. Water from the bottom so you do not wash the little seeds out/off the pot (Set the pot in a shallow container and put water in that container so the pot will suck the water up into the soil through the drain holes to wet the soil). When the group of seedlings are big enough to handle, transplant each into a bit bigger pot. When they are three to four inches long you may plant them outdoors. Plant 6-8 inches apart as they make trailing ‘stems’ and those stems make roots if touching the ground so they will make a mat. Keep watered. They flower small, very light lavender/white flowers. (They are VERY SMALL! A speck…so please keep that in mind when you receive the seed -as this is the reason I say to plant them this way.) 40+ Seeds per pkt.

Here in North America, the plants grow spring through fall. They pause or die back in the winter, depending on the climate. In zones colder than zone 7, it would be wise to put mulch over the plants in the winter. The more sun and water they receive, the larger they will grow. They do fine in full sun to dappled shade.
