Soil and Water: Use well-draining soil and keep it consistently moist. It’s important to not let the soil dry out, especially in the first year of growth. Growth Process: After transplanting the rhizomes will spend their first year establishing healthy roots systems. New shoots emerge in spring. Mulching around the planting area will help the roots to spread and keep the soil from drying out. On receiving your order, rhizomes will be carefully packaged for moisture retention to keep healthy roots during shipment. Please allow up to 3 days to package and ship your order. Please inspect your order on arrival to make sure there is no damage due to shipping. It’s important to plant as soon as possible after receiving and to keep the rhizomes moist, but not waterlogged.
