Ckemson Spieless Okra Seeds NON-GMO Heirloom Open Pollinated Easy to Grow! YUM!

July 8, 2026

NON-GMOMade in the USA Clemson Spineless are fast growing okra seeds the perfect addition to your garden, heirloom and open pollinated. Great flavor. Plants are about 3’ tall. The Clemson Spineless Okra carries numerous spineless pods that are tender and tasty if picked young. This variety won an All-America Selections award back in 1939 and is still thought of as the standard variety. Use this delicious okra fried, in soups, stews, and gumbos. Like all okra, the Clemson Spineless vegetable seeds thrive in warmer climates, but can also be planted effectively up north, COOL! Give this one a try to experience the good old-fashioned okra flavor that many okra-lovers prefer. This variety works for frying, pickling, soup, and baking. Okra has a reputation for being slimy but when cooked properly it is a delicious addition to your summertime meals. Chop your okra into 1/2 in. pieces, dip in buttermilk, coat in flour and cornmeal mixture, fry and drain it for a crispy treat. My great grandma, grandma, and my mom have all made this for me in some sort of fashion. Tasty for sure. Don’t miss out on spicy pickled okra with hot peppers and garlic either, ENJOY! Easy to grow and ready to bear heavily, this is a fine selection for the busy gardener! Okra is used as the thickening agent in Cajun gumbo, but it also can be boiled, broiled, fried, roasted, steamed, canned, or pickled. Use dried pods in flower arrangements! Okra has attractive, edible flowers. This particular okra is an heirloom variety that is open-pollinated, making it an excellent choice for those who want to produce their own seed. It is also easy to grow, making it a great option for beginners. The plant is most suited for outdoor cultivation, and it thrives in sub-tropical, dry, tropical, and dry warm summertime climates. It grows best in clay, sand, silt, loam, and fertile soils, and it needs daily moderate to heavy watering. It requires full sun or partial shade and is most suitable for south-facing aspects. This okra is available in the spring, summer, and fall, making it a perfect choice for any season of interest. Please see my other listings and my store for more great varieties and thank you!
