Its tender texture and sweet flavor make it the perfect addition to salads. The perfect kale for people who don’t like kale! Reminiscent of mizuna mustard, but still nutrient-dense like any other kale. Usually you start them in spring / summer and let them grow over the winter, so you can harvest leaves approx. 60 days after planting. Let the plant overwinter and you can harvest leaves from a bigger plant in spring. You get free shipping. Should I be able to combine shipping from another auction, you will get bonus seeds as my appreciation to YOU!

2024 Sarracenia Seed: alata Purple Helmet x alata A25-MK

July 8, 2026

S. alata Purple Helmet x alata A25-MK [LA] Purple Helmet comes from Meadowview Biological Research Station. It lives up to its name with a dark throat and can get a toasty brown color on the exterior leaf. It’s also got incredible vigor. A25-MK is from a Louisiana population, originally brought into cultivation by Mike King (Shropshire Sarracenia). My goal here is to make some hardy, tough as nails alata that can be introduced into other alata breeding lines (for context, look up the lineage of Jerry’s Dark Streak). Each pack contains approximately 30 seeds (plus a few extra) harvested by me in 2024. I pollinate Sarracenia from my own collection by hand at least two times (different days), either with a fresh q-tip or clean paintbrush. I protect pollinated flowers using organza bags to reduce the chances of animal pollination. Seed packs are shipped in small envelopes via USPS. For seed packs, economy shipping is free (about a week, no tracking). You can choose to get priority mail tracking info and expedited shipping for an additional fee. U.S. only. I am happy to combine seed packs as long as I haven't already sent your order. Thanks for shopping!

100+ seeds Love in a mist flower BLUE / Nigella Damascena – organic crop of 2023

July 8, 2026

Here you can get 100 + seeds of blue Love in a mist flower. This annual brings joy to every cottage garden with the electrifying blue color and the tangle of ferny, fennel-like foliage that forms a mist around the flowers. Love-in-a-mist does best in full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Sow the deep-black, sharp-cornered seeds about ⅛ inch deep wherever you want the plants to grow. Seeds should germinate within two to three weeks under most conditions. Begin sowing seeds as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring. I have noticed that these seeds do germinate best when they are exposed to a spell of cold weather. That’s why I sow them in February in zone 7, so they get a bit frost. I am cold stratifying these seeds in the fridge, so they hopefully germinate for you in case you want to start them in the warmer months. Otherwise if you plant them in fall / winter they will come up in spring. Please have a look at my other auctions. If I can combine shipping, I will include bonus seeds to show you my appreciation.
