Echium wildpretii is a biennial or tropical perennial in the Boraginaceae family. Its native range is in the Canary Islands. Some familiar names include Red Mount Teide Bugloss, Tower of Jewels, Red Bugloss, and Tenerife Bugloss. It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. It grows in subalpine zones in the ravines of Mount Teide Volcano. It can tolerate temperatures down to 23F. It is grown as an ornamental plant in tropical climates. It can grow to around 10 feet tall in its second year, and then it dies after flowering. The flowers are red and a nectar factory for bees and beekeepers. It will require full sun with average water needs and dry, arid conditions. Biennial Germination Sow seeds on top of the soil and lightly tamp down and cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-60 days.

300+ Gymnocalycium Variegated Seeds

For your consideration are 300+ Gymnocalycium variegated seeds. The seeds were harvested in 2025 and only come from premium quality plants. The first 2 pictures show some of the parent plants that the seeds were harvested from, the other pictures show seedlings that are two months old. These seeds were planted at the end of December 2025 and come from the same batch I’m selling. As you can see, the seeds are VERY small!! I estimate germination rates to be around 50%
