One rooted potted Pineapple Strawberry plant, ready to transplant, or leave them in the pots for a while. Hardy to northern winters, zones 4-10. Taste like they are a cross between a pineapple and a strawberry. (but they aren’t). Perhaps the tastiest strawberry you will ever eat. You will find yourself checking each day to scarf any newly ripened berries. These shoot off large quantities of runners. So you can propagate quickly. Or, cut the runners off for larger berry production. Very easy to grow. Needs moderate to bright sunlight, medium amounts of water and fertilizer. We use organic soybean meal with a bit of lime and sulfur. A boost of phosphorous will promote flowering. Great for either pots or garden growing. Berries tend to be medium sized, but quite prolific. Plant them away from other strawberry plants because these strawberries are white with a bit of red blush when ripe. Other strawberry types are not ripe at that color stage. The berries will be hard to tell them apart if mixed with red strawberry plants. If you do mix these plants with other red berry strawberry plants, you can recognize these plants apart from most other strawberry plants by the design of the blossom. Pineapple strawberry blossoms will have a green star mixed in the white petal flower, separating the petals. They will also have red seeds, while most other strawberries with have brown or tan colored seeds These plants are healthy and vibrant.
