In addition, bee balm bergamot flowers are also commonly featured in medicinal teas, tinctures and oxymels. Wild bergamot medicinal properties include: anti-microbial, a soothing digestive aid, anti-spasmotic (suggesting an ease in cramping ailments), and nerving (nerve calming). Bergamot is a wise choice for your garden. It is heat tolerant, reaches about 3 ft tall and blooms from May through September.
