Made from natural volcanic rock, this crushed aggregate/soil medium is very porous to improve drainage and aeration of the roots. The color is mostly blackish red with a few tan rocks speckled throughout. It’s great to use for top soil dressing, bottom layer for drainage and mixed with akadama and our all purpose organic bonsai soil mix. It can also be used for cactus and succulent plants too. We’ve repackaged the soil to fit inside a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box for better priced shipping. This small grain is about 1/8 – 3/16 inch in size. It will weigh approximately 14 lbs. This Neo is a Peterson hybrid of Lambert’s Pride x olens. It is an attractive small to medium-sized bromeliad with a circular full rosette. The overall color is a light tangerine-orange, suffused with tiny red speckles. The leaf tips are bright red and the cup turns bright red at anthesis. There is a nail on the end of each leaf. This Neo can take all sun types, full sun or shade. Nothing seems to hurt it, and I have mine in fuller sun conditions which seems to bring out the amazing colors. The height can reach 10 inches and the width can reach 14 inches. This auction is for a single plant, a pup similar to the last 7 photos. Plants will be shipped bare root or no root, without soil.
