CANARY ISLAND DATE PALM SEEDS (Phoenix canariensis) The Canary Island date palm (Phoenix canariensis) is a beautiful tree, native to the warm Canary Islands. You can consider planting a Canary Island date palm outdoors in zones 9-11. In cooler climates they make Great Indoor Plants as they can get huge in small containers like the one in picture #5 making them able to grow great anywhere. If you are dreaming of Canary palm trees growing in your backyard, you’ll need lots of room. Information on Canary date palms lists these trees as growing up to 65 feet tall with a potential spread of 40 feet. However, planting a Canary Island date palm is not entirely out of the question indoors, or if you have a small backyard. Canary palm trees growing speed is slow, and your specimen will only get to 10 feet tall during its first 15 years in the backyard. Canary date palms notes the long leaves of the species from 8 to 20 feet long and the extremely sharp spines at the frond base. The trunk can grow to 4 feet in diameter. Small white or gray blossoms produce showy ornamental date-like fruits in the summer. Zones 9-11Canary Palm Germination: 1) Fill a large pot with potting soil. Water this soil so that it is damp, but not wet.2) Use a heated propagator to keep the soil around 92 degrees F.3) Insert the seed into the soil so that it is just “lightly covering the seed” as the “need light to germinate”. If the pot is large enough, you can plant several seeds.4) Place the pot in the large plastic bag and seal it. Air out daily for 30 mins. & periodically inspect the seeds for any signs of mold or fungus. If found, simply wash the seed in a copper based fungicide, and rinse it off well before placing it back into “new & sterile” soil.5) Patience is needed as with any Palm or Tropical seeds. Expect germination to happen anywhere from 2-5 months. If a few sprout earlier than others, don’t throw the rest out as they are still good. They just need a bit more time and are Definitely Worth the Wait!

10 Moringa Tree SEEDS Moringa Oleifera Miracle Drumstick Tree Seeds 2 Plant USA
You will receive 10 seeds, like those pictured in the first photo, from the seedpods of our Moringa Oleifera tree growing in sunny Florida. Home grown naturally using regenerative methods with lots of love and zero chemicals, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. You will fresh receive viable seeds, from our most recently harvested seedpods, that are ready to sow. Growing Info & TipsMoringa Oleifera is a versatile, fast-growing tree that does well in subtropical locations, Zones 9 &10. It can be grown as a tree or pruned as a smaller shrub. It is a fast grower, easily adapts to poor soil and once established is very low maintenance (asides from pruning to mange its size as desired). It has a long taproot and smaller feeder roots, thus once established, does not require much, if any, watering. From seed the Moringa tree can take up to 8 months to fully mature. It thrives in full sun and warm weather! For Sowing the Seeds: Seeds need the temperature to be in the 70-90 degree range to germinate. Sow the seeds 1 inch deep in pre-moistened potting mix in a small pot, or directly in the ground. Keep moist. Seeds can take 5-15 days to germinate so be patient. Soaking the seeds for 24 hours before sowing can speed up & increase germination success, and I do recommend doing so! Moringa forms a long tap root so be careful not to damage it when repotting. Moringa Tree Uses + Taste and Preparation:Moringa is considered a superfood and best of all most all of it is usable in some way.I absolutely love this tree and enjoy eating the leaves, flowers, and drumsticks regularly. The Leaves: Eaten raw, the leaves have a little bite to them kind of like radicchio or watercress. When cooked, they taste more like spinach with a somewhat nutty flavor. It’s delicious in salads, smoothies, soups, as a side dish, made into a pesto or as a tea. The leaves are also great for the garden to add to your compost, for chop and drop mulching, or for feed for chickens etc.The flowers are also edible and go well in teas, stir fries, curries and stews as they take on the flavor of the dish. The drumsticks are also edible when they are young green, and are yummy cooked up like green beans or added to dishes etc. The seeds can be used to make oil and purify water. Moringa just has so many beneficial uses! Please do your own research before consuming. Shipping of Seeds: I ship these seeds via the Postal Service, USPS, Ground Advantage with tracking.
