Loosen the soil to a depth of at least 12 inches and remove any rocks or debris. 2. Soak Seeds (Optional): Some gardeners recommend soaking fig seeds in water for 24 hours before planting to improve germination. 3. Plant Seeds: Plant fig seeds in pots or directly in the ground, about 1 inch deep. Cover with soil and water gently. 4. Provide Warmth: Fig seeds germinate best in warm temperatures. Place pots in a warm, sunny location indoors or outdoors. 5. Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. 6. Patience: Fig seeds may take several weeks to germinate. Be patient and keep the soil consistently moist. 7. Transplant: Once fig seedlings have grown to a suitable size (6-12 inches tall) and developed a few sets of true leaves, transplant them into larger pots or directly into the ground. 8. Care: Fig trees prefer full sun and well-draining soil. Water regularly during the growing season, especially during hot weather. Mulch around the base of the tree to retain soil moisture. 9. Prune (Optional): Prune fig trees as needed to maintain shape and encourage fruit production. Remove any dead or damaged branches. Note: Growing fig trees from seed is a long-term process, but it can be rewarding to watch your tree grow and eventually produce delicious figs! — Shipping Notice: To sustain our competitive pricing and slim profit margins, we cannot offer reshipments or refunds for delivery issues resulting from “incorrect address” or “no mail receptacle” situations.
