Trifolium pratense is a perennial that comes from the Fabaceae family. It is commonly known as Red Clover and it grows to 2 feet tall and wide. It is native to Europe, including Britain, from Norway south and east to Spain and W. Asia. You can find it flowering from May to September. This plant is pollinated by Bees, Moths & Butterflies.  It is not a frost-tender plant but it can fix Nitrogen in your soil. It likes to grow in full sun and can grow in most soils. The plant can tolerate strong winds but not maritime exposure. It is edible. Zones 5-9 Germination Mix seeds and soil and moisten the mix slightly in a ziplock bag. Write the name of the seed on the bag. Place in the refrigerator for 30 days. Seeds should be sown into well-drained, sandy compost and covered to their own depth with sand or grit.
