MANFREDA (agave) ‘SPOT’ A hybrid between Manfreda virginica and Manfreda maculosa (“Texas tuberose”), this plant has gray-green leaves speckled with sizable spots of reddish brown. Every year when it blooms, it amazes us with its size and the lovely chocolate colored flowers with green centers.

Agave x bundrandtii, formerly Polianthes x bundrandtii. This plant boasts a rosette of strappy leaves much like a Manfreda or an agave. Beginning in early summer a tall stalk of dainty cream and salmon colored flowers emerge. Makes a great display perfect for rock gardens. Buyer will receive two bulbs.

Big orange blooms of the Butterfly Weed welcome droves of midsummer butterflies, especially Monarchs, with glowing color. This lovely perennial is both a nectar source and a host plant where butterflies lay eggs. With lovely foliage, the Butterfly Weed dazzles long after it blooms. It needs only plenty of sunshine, tolerates heat and drought easily, survives winters unharmed, and returns dependably year after year. It reaches about two feet in height, three feet in width, in Zones 3-9. Set plants 12 to 15 inches apart in sunny locations with well-drained soil. Plant the crown two to four inches deep. Asclepias is late to break dormancy in the spring and should not be removed during cultivation. Established plants have extensive taproots that should not be disturbed. White Tuberose Bulbs single large clump Mexican Fragrant – Polianthes (Agave Amica). These are not single bulbs, but are multiple bulbs growing off a large single bulb, each smaller bulb ready to be divided and started as a new plant cluster for next year. This is how they multiple and divide. Give a strong pleasant aroma for days as additional blossoms open on the same stem. Grows well during the summer and early fall but needs to be brought in during the winter if you are not in zone 8-9. We have grown these for over 7 years and they are very hardy and prolific.
