Strawberry Seeds 🍓 Homegrown Edible Garden Fruit Organic Sweet NonGMO Berry USA
Strawberry seeds from the actual strawberries in the photos Organic/ NonGMO/ Pesticide Free Homegrown from my garden in Texas *nonrefundable* cold stratification, a soil ph tester, and temperature controlled setup with a humidity dome indoors will improve germination rates shipped with usps Orders over $15 will get free upgraded shipping Growing strawberries from seed can be a bit more challenging than other methods of propagation, but it is also a rewarding experience. Here are the steps you can follow to grow strawberries from seed: 1. Decide if cold stratification is appropriate. 2. Prepare a seed-starting mix by combining equal parts of peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite. Add a small amount of soil if appropriate. Fill a seed tray or small pots with the mix, leaving a quarter-inch space at the top. 3. Sow the seeds on top of the soil and gently press them down. Do not cover them with soil as strawberry seeds need light to germinate. 4. Water the soil gently, making sure not to wash away the seeds. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. 5. Cover the seed tray or pots with a plastic wrap or a lid to create a greenhouse effect and retain moisture. Starting seeds indoors or a greenhouse are a must for temperature control. Place the tray or pots in a warm and bright location, ideally with a temperature of around 70-75°F (21-24°C). 6. Check the soil moisture level regularly and water as needed to keep it consistently moist. Keep the plastic wrap or lid on until the seeds start to germinate, which usually takes around 2-6 weeks. 7. Once the seeds have germinated and the seedlings have a few true leaves, remove the plastic wrap or lid and place them in a bright, sunny location. Water the seedlings as needed to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. 8. When the seedlings are around 3-4 inches tall, transplant them into larger pots or containers filled with a well-draining potting mix. You can also acclimate them to be planted outside in a sunny location with well-draining soil. 9. Fertilize the plants every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer, and keep the soil consistently moist. 10. In around 4-6 months, the strawberry plants will produce fruits, and you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep in mind that growing strawberries from seed is a longer process than other methods of propagation, and it may take a year or two before the plants produce a significant amount of fruits. However, it is a fun and rewarding experience, and you can enjoy the satisfaction of growing your strawberries from scratch.
