Purchased orders will consist of twenty (20) rooted garlic chives bulbs 韭菜根 organically grown in sunny California using only all natural fertilizer. Plants are healthy, hardy, and well rooted. They will be freshly harvested and carefully packed with moist paper towels to minimize dehydration and maintain freshness during shipment. Ready to plant upon receipt 2 – 4 inches deep and spaced 2 inches apart into a moist well – drained soil under partial to full sun. Plants will be trimmed backed to fit packaging. Why Grow?Garlic chives are fast growing and easy to maintain. With proper care and ideal conditions, garlic bulbs will multiply quickly year after year increasing the volume of harvest over time. Chives will be ready for picking approximately one month after growing and can be collected once every 3 weeks following when they reach 6 – 8 inches tall. To harvest, simply cut the stem half an inch above ground level. This herb has a delicious resemblance to the taste of garlic and may be enjoyed in various ways such as part of soups, salads, meat, or egg dishes. It can also be used as a garnish or seasoning to your favorite dish either raw or cooked. Chives are a common part of Asian cuisine and is normally eaten chopped up into small sections.
