*If you are shopping for seeds as a gift, it is best to shop early as shipping this year may be slow in some areas. I will keep to my 24hr shipping guarantee but once your package leaves my location, it’s beyond my control how long the PO takes to get it to you so I cannot make any guarantees. I know the Post Office gives you an ETA but that’s for normal conditions and holds no weight during this time. *In the midst of this dilemma, I want my customers to know that all precautions are being taken I was in Nursing for 17 years part of which I worked the ED. I have also been a farmer forever. It’s just me here and no one is allowed in and out. So you can feel at ease shopping here. I am and always have been very strict with precautions. Also, while at Smith College studied biology and worked in a lab doing DNA research. So you can feel safe shopping here. I got this ;O) We continue to have no signs in my surrounding area as to date 2023. We have been very fortunate and it’s probably because I am in a rural area. You are bidding on approximately 6000 Organic Red Wheat Grass seeds…Certified…”Organically Grown”. The 6000 is an “approximate” figure. Seeds have been counted many times to attain a weight that should insure you with approximately 6000 seeds. To give you an idea of what 6000 looks like, when you purchase seeds in the store like the packaged kind you see on the racks that are usually priced at $1.95 and up and on average these packages contain 50-80 seeds with some less and some more. This should give you a rough idea. This is not pounds. Although the number sounds huge, seeds do not take up much space at all. These seeds are “Fresh”…Quality comes first…All Seeds are “HAND SORTED & SELECTED”…Smaller, Broken, Dead and Dried out seeds are removed so that you are guaranteed to get quality cream of the crop seeds. It’s tedious work and I enjoy it thoroughly because I love the product so much. You can juice it or blend it. Any kind of high speed blender or osterizer will work if you don’t have a juicer, you will need to strain it if you don’t like pulp. But don’t throw away that pulp because you use it to add to dishes, ie, veggies. You will get the maximum benefits using a juicer. The pulp will only be beneficial as fiber, but hey, fiber is good. Also, you can just eat it…cut it up and sprinkle it on a salad…or grow it for your pets like I do, eating it fresh provides you with a source of fiber. The grass needs to be masticated to obtain the health benefits. Cats love it and so do Rabbits, Dogs, Birds or whatever your pet may be. It’s easy to grow and fresh all the time. Wheat Grass will live about 3 1/2 weeks then you need to regrow. It’s meant for consumption. It’s possible to get a second cut, but it won’t be tender like the first cut. I don’t like it myself and I just throw it and re-grow it each time. Wheat Grass is scientifically proven to improve the overall health of humans as well as any pet that eats grass, better said, anything with a circulatory system! It can’t be proven to or cure disease because that’s not possible to do, but if the circulatory system is improved, the body’s ability to fight off or cure illness is improved in turn. There are many testimonials out there that make the claim that wheat grass helped to cure them from serious illnesses i.e. infections and cancer. Remember, these are personal testimonials not doctor’s claims. To a rabbit wheat grass is “Fresh Hay”. There is that one in a million cat that just won’t eat it. I have one buyer with 9 cats and one won’t touch it. It’s almost unheard of but it can happen. So if you have that one in a million cat that won’t eat it, it’s not the wheat grass and it’s not you. You can see the new baby enjoying his wheat grass just the way the pets like it…”Right from the pot”! In the picture…pots are about 3″ high…perfect height for rabbits…can also be grown in a larger sized pot. The pot in front approx 4-5 days…back 2 pots approx 8-10 days…the plants in the pic were grown right in my kitchen window. our cat or any pet is eating your plants they are trying to tell you something, that is, there is something in that plant they need. Give them a healthy plant that tastes better and is better for them. Wheat Grass will also solve the HAIRBALL problem. Hairballs are usually what causes a pet to vomit as they build up in the tummy and they can’t pass them. Wheat Grass has enzymes that will allow the cat or any pet to pass the hairballs through their system and by doing that their tummy’s and the rest of their digestive system will be much happier. Pet’s need greens that’s why they eat grass. You should NEVER let your pet eat lawn grass as it has SHARP BARB’S that can cause tiny cuts in their tiny throats and those sharp barbs go right to their tummy’s causing tummy upset. The sharp SHARP BARB’S are also the reason why many gag when they try to eat grass. When they are eating grass, they are telling you they need greens and they do. Wheat Grass will solve the craving and keep them healthy at the same time. You will spend less time at the Vet and save on bills for HAIRBALL’S that are usually the cause of tummy problems. You can just plant the seeds (hardier for pets)…or you can sprout them first and that’s for more experienced interested in growing hydroponically. Personally, I don’t recommend sprouting before growing in soil. It increases your chances of failure, and it’s just not necessary, keep it simple. All you need is Sun, Soil, Water and “Any type” planting pot over 3″ deep…get creative or just go for simple like in my pic…Basically just place seed on soil…cover with a thin layer of soil…water well…stand back and watch…sounds easy…but you will need to control the growing environment and that’s not hard. I have grown wheat grass for years. You don’t need a green thumb and it’s just plain simple to grow. Be glad to answer any questions…need tips on growing…growing wheat grass for the first time and need some help…growing instructions are available when you make a purchase. Instructions are sent out on request only and via email only. Instructions are detailed and I don’t print them out because emailing them is one more way to conserve on our environment. If you don’t have a juicer or don’t want to get one just try this out to see if you like it before making an investment, email and I will give you blender tips to make it easy for you. You really need a high speed blender like an osterizering ice crushing model. If you use a blender and see more than a trace of pulp, that’s not cuttin’ it, get a juicer they’re not that expensive. If you don’t prepare the wheat grass correctly, you will not see results. I provide 24/7 online support for all buyers that have made purchases. It’s Large Fruits are Frequently called “A Meal in Itself”. Papaya’s Large, Fleshy, Melon-like Fruits Weighing up to 9 Pounds Each hang in clusters attached to the trunk top just under the leaf canopy. Papaya typically grows to 12′ tall (container plants to 10′ tall) and is most noted for its edible melon-like fruit. The papaya fruit is slightly sweet, with an agreeable musky tang, which is more pronounced in some varieties and in some climates than in others. It is a popular breakfast fruit in many countries and is also used in salads, pies, sherbets, juices, and confections. The unripe fruit can be cooked like squash. The possible health benefits of consuming papaya include a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, aiding in digestion, improving blood glucose control in people with diabetes, lowering blood pressure, and improving wound healing. This plant is intolerant of frost. It is best grown in tropical or semi-tropical climates in rich humus, consistently moist but well-drained organic loams in full sun. Best fruit develops in full sun. Plants tolerate light shade if grown ornamentally indoors instead of for fruit.Papayas offer not only the luscious taste and sunlit color of the tropics, but are rich sources of antioxidant nutrients such as carotenes, vitamin C and flavonoids; the B vitamins, folate and pantothenic acid; and the minerals, potassium, copper, and magnesium; and fiber. Together, these nutrients promote the health of the cardiovascular system and also provide protection against colon cancer. In addition, papaya contains the digestive enzyme, papain which is used like bromelain, a similar enzyme found in pineapple, to treat sports injuries, other causes of trauma, and allergies. This papaya hybrid will produce fruits that can weigh up to 9 Pounds each.Zones 9-12 In areas with cooler winters, simply bring them indoors as they are Great Houseplants when given enough light.Papaya Germination:1) Mix about 3 1/2 ounces of calcium nitrate in 1 quart of water. Calcium nitrate is available in most garden centers as a fertilizer. This solution helps to decrease germination time, while increasing the total percentage of seeds that successfully germinate. Soak the papaya seeds in the calcium nitrate solution for about 30 minutes. 2) Soak the seeds in hot water at 158 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds; then soak them in distilled water at room temperature for 24 hours to increase the germination rate. 3) Use a well mixed and well draining seed starting soil. Do not start seeds in seedling trays because papayas transplant poorly; 1-gallon containers ensure the plant requires transplanting only once from the container to the ground.4) To ensure successful germination for Papaya seeds, use a heated propagator mat to keep the soil between 80-85 degrees F., and place the containers in a sunny location, or use a grow light. 5) Evenly space two to four seeds in each container and cover the seeds with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of potting mix.6) Keep the soil moist without overwatering. 7) Papaya seeds can germinate in about 2 to 5 weeks with the calcium nitrate treatment.
